Los Angeles, CA – Visual artist and musician Pastel will be releasing his newest single “The Mirror”, taken from his upcoming EP Bone-Weary. In this new single, Pastel uses songwriting and music to explore his own identity. The lyrics and meaning of the song focus on issues that are relevant to a lot of self-identity question, wondering what exactly it is we see when we look in the mirror – a daunting and persisting question that may be unanswerable for a while. “The Mirror” is electrifying yet fragile, especially with the spacey electronica. The song isn’t overtly heavy but with the climactic slow rhythm and pacing, it almost feels like the weight of the world is pressing down while you are pushing back up.

Bone-Weary EP will be released on June 24 via Very Jazzed.

I am not real...or at least not who you think I am, merely a figment of my own imagination. If you stumbled upon this blog...I can only wonder how.
