Bristol quartet Why We Love released their newest EP The Boy You Knew last Friday, which honestly seemed to be a huge release day for a lot of bands. Taken from their EP is “Surrender”, a sweet little indie pop track that reminisces the true indie pop days of the early 2010s. One of my favorite things about this song is the intro guitar hook, which made me think that this was going to be an indie rock track actually. “Surrender” echoes the likes of Young the Giant and old Ra Ra Riot with their light melodies and high vocals. It’s a great song to listen to as you enjoy some brunch on this lovely Sunday late morning.
