San Diego-based surf rockers Buddha Trixie put out a video for their track “Real”, taken from their debut EP of the same name. “Real” is a lo-fi surf rock tune with a bit of psychedelic rock that gives it a soulful vibe, especially from the 2:40 mark to basically the end of the track. The reverb isn’t too over-powering on the track which helps it’s psychedelia nature. Also, it matches with the graphics on the video, which I’m feeling some of Tame Impala’s “Mind Mischief” in. “Real” also has some great vocals that stands out over the instrumentals so that it all doesn’t just blend together.

Catch Buddha Trixie play at SOMA in San Diego on January 30.

I am not real...or at least not who you think I am, merely a figment of my own imagination. If you stumbled upon this blog...I can only wonder how.
